Count Me Among the Stawarts

None, and I mean none of the cable or broadcast news media question the outcome of the election anymore. “President Elect Joe Biden continues to forge ahead with plans for his cabinet despite unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud by Trump,” is typical of the banter one hears. The tsunami of fait accompli saturating the airwaves drowns out the 70 plus million of us who are seeing with our own eyes the affidavits alleging fraud and the investigative reporting that provides further evidence of Leftist malfeasance. Add to them our intuition that there’s no way that the weak, demented and corrupt Joe Biden received 78 million legitimate votes, more than Hillary Clinton and more than any candidate in history! And finally, don’t try to convince me that Joe Biden “ran away with the election” when the down ballot results showing wins in highly competitive races and gains in the House and state legislatures were all in the Republicans’ favor.

I’ve said before, here and on Parler, that I will not concede or accept Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the President and Vice-President elect until either the House says so in a contingent election, the Supreme Court decides by rule of law, or Trump himself concedes.

So count me among the stalwarts who don’t believe the election “results” and hope, pray and in my gut believe that Trump did indeed win in a landslide only to have been declared the loser by a corrupt media and due to fraudulent voting, and that either the courts or state legislatures will do the right thing and ensure the true winner is inaugurated in January.

Count me among the citizens of this country who welcomed the reversals of Obama/Biden-era regulations, weakness, capitulation to adversaries and attempts to “fundamentally transform” our nation, and among those who, despite unease and sometimes even revulsion at Trump’s style and methods, believed and still believe his actions vastly improved our country and set us on a course back to the top of the hill and peace and prosperity for all.

Count me among those who do NOT believe there is systemic racism in our country and who are infuriated by the rioting and looting and desecration we see in our cities, as well as the physical assaults with impunity on those who support Trump.

And count me among those skeptics who look at the coronavirus data and see how it has been manipulated and exploited to achieve political ends, and among those who are sickened by the tyrannical, short-sighted diktats of state and local despots hypocritically imposing lockdowns and mask-wearing to the destruction of so many businesses and livelihoods and the detriment of our school children and their families.

Count me among those who are not so stupid as to think that if all 300 million or so guns in the United States were taken off the streets tomorrow, there would be no more gun violence. Common sense tells us that within a few days there would be hundreds if not thousands of guns back on the streets, in the hands of criminals.

Count me among those who have turned off professional sports because of its genuflection to “wokeness”. What a load of horse you know what!

Count me among those who want smaller, not larger government and who want lower, not higher taxes.

Count me among those who have seen the good our country has done around the world and who stand at attention with their hands over their hearts when the flag goes by or ‘Taps’ are played.

Count me among those who believe in God, that there is good and evil in the world, and who choose to try to do the former and eschew the latter.

And finally, count me among those who pray He will bless us in our endeavor to fight against and eradicate evil and gain back our rapidly eroding freedom.

Nationalism vs. Globalism

On a Sunday morning sipping coffee and listening to some peaceful music rather than a blaring shout show on tv, I reflected on the Left’s banal vituperations against ‘nationalists’ and ‘nationalism’. As usual, they have hijacked words and language to warp meaning and seek to paint Traditionalists as negatively as possible.

Thomas Madison, in an article penned yesterday describing the interaction between presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard and ignorant hyper-hag Joy Behar on “The View”, described how Gabbard schooled Behar “on the definition of “nationalist,” a word synonymous with “patriot.”

Madison explained, “The term “white nationalist” has been hijacked by liberal Democrats, beginning in Charlottesville, where the anti-American left began its campaign to make the term synonymous with “white supremacist,” made clear by their continued talking point, citing “white nationalist” and “white supremacist,” in the same sentence. The narrative has been pushed by liberal liars from Barack Hussein to congressional Democrats to the partisan talking heads in the liberal mainstream media, so that today all leftists believe that a “white nationalist” is a “white supremacist” when actually, a white nationalist is a patriot who happens to be white. There are white nationalists, black nationalists, Asian nationalists, and Latino nationalists, American patriots all. But, let’s not allow the truth to interfere with a good liberal smear narrative.”

Nationalism, above all, refers to a belief that individuals and their communities, as well as the nation as a whole, must have sovereignty.[1] I often point out that one of the big differences between the people of England and the people of America is that in England The People are SUBJECTS. In America, The People are CITIZENS. Nationalism is a belief in self-governance by CITIZENS. It is a belief in freedom to set policies and enact laws for ourselves, not subject ourselves to laws made by elitist, often unelected bureaucrats in another country (e.g. Brussels and the European “Union”). The latter is a philosophy of the “Globalists”, an insidious scheme to force winners to provide for losers, to advance the Marxist philosophy: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

Nationalists oppose policies such as open borders, mass migration, and forming international organizations that have as their end goal one-world government. Nationalists thus also support policies such as building border walls and maintaining border security.

Nationalism, or Patriotism therefore, is a sense of pride in one’s country. It’s the father of the phrases “My country do or die” or “America: Love it or Leave It”. It’s what’s behind the chants of “U.S.A., U.S.A.” at rallies. It’s about citizens all over the country flying American flags on their houses. Of course the Left, wanting to “fundamentally transform” America, condemns these expressions and actions as sinister: xenophobic, racist, etc.

Globalism, on the other hand, refers to the authoritarian desire for a “one world” view that rejects the role of sovereign nations in protecting distinctive national values. Globalism is anti-American in encouraging Americans to adopt a “world view” rather than an “American view.” The ultimate goal of globalism is the eventual unification of humanity under a one-world government.

Globalists oppose nationalism, national sovereignty, and self-governance. Instead, they favor open borders, free trade, H-1B visas, interventionism, foreign aid, and changing the U.S. Constitution. They oppose strong border security and the building of border walls.

Leftists support globalism because it leads to centralized power, thereby providing them with an easier way to gain control. Leftists can more easily persuade a handful of people in centralized government to rule in their favor than convince everyone of their agenda in a decentralized form of government.

I recall saying to myself just before the 2016 election when I like so many other traditionalists expected Hillary to win, “Only a cataclysmic event like another 9-11 or a world war, God forbid, will force America to halt its slide down the slippery slope to ruin and turn back to traditional values that would allow us to begin the long and difficult climb back up”. The jury is still out but Trump may have been that cataclysmic event. His views on Nationalism and Patriotism, while crassly rather than inspiringly articulated, reflect what the majority of Americans, I believe, feel and believe about our country.

The shrill and cackling voice of the Left (e.g. Joy Behar) has so polluted the airwaves that it’s sometimes difficult to see the forest, but in my more hopeful moments I sense we might be nearing the bottom of the slippery slope and are poised to start the long climb back up.

Delusional Malice

The Left’s all out assault on traditional American values is approaching a crescendo. As they see their beloved utopian dream continue to implode they no longer profess to “go high”. Rather, they seem to revel in taking the “low road” at every turn.

Credit to David Limbaugh who penned a wonderful piece on what the true meaning of Make America Great Again means and from whom I learned the phrase “Delusional Malice”. For that describes perfectly what the Left is up to.

Delusional describes the Left’s hopes and dreams:

  • That everyone will live happily ever after with government provided healthcare for all;
  • That confiscating everyone’s guns will eliminate gun violence;
  • That taxing “the rich” (which really means everyone who has a job) will pay for all of government’s social programs, including the provision of universal healthcare;
  • That eliminating plastic shopping bags and straws, large fountain sodas, incandescent lightbulbs, gasoline powered vehicles, etc. will “save the planet”;
  • That we can all live happily in a perfectly integrated, multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-lingual and multi-religious society where we will harmoniously “all get along”;
  • That the distinction between genders will be eliminated so there will be equal opportunity, equal pay, equal time on sports fields, irrespective of merit, experience, or accomplishment;
  • That abortion may be used as contraception in lieu of continence;
  • That God and religion are eliminated from our schools, discourse, laws and society generally;
  • That we will no more have borders or have to worry about national sovereignty once we become one global family;
  • And so on and so forth…

Malice describes the insidious nature of how the Left is advancing its agenda:

  • By calling everyone who disagrees with them a racist, fascist, homophobe, xenophobe, etc.;
  • By indoctrinating and exploiting children to advance their aims;
  • By hijacking the vocabulary and promoting the use of definitions and memes that reflect their views;
  • By outright lying both by omission and commission;
  • By enlisting Hollywood and its supreme ability to make fiction and fantasy seem real to generate heart-string tugs and subtly brain-wash receptive audiences;
  • By dumbing down deviance, i.e. trivializing evil and wrong (e.g. “it’s just sex”);
  • By projecting, in the psychological sense, their aberrance and uncivilized notions onto traditionalists, conservatives and true patriots;
  • By open physical harassment and “in-your-face” confrontation of anyone who opposes them;
  • By refusing to condemn violence and unconscionable behavior in the name of “restraint” and “tolerance”;
  • By exuding hypocrisy to the point of pathology;
  • By seeking to suppress the speech, appearances, writings, even the posts and tweets of anyone who calls out their bilge for what it is;
  • By claiming “science” backs their views when in fact the exact opposite is true;
  • By saturating the air with so much drivel and vituperation that all vestiges of traditional mores and values are obscured.

As I’ve noted before, it’s difficult for Traditionalists to fight this cancer. We care about the High Road, and have been taught that we mustn’t “descend to their level”. We want to be left alone to live in peace as we know we can and should.

But Delusional Malice is becoming more and more manifest as each day goes by, as the Left continues to try to overwhelm the system and create an almost apocalyptic chaos from which only they can save us.

It is not enough to set an example and rise above all the mayhem. We must step up our counteroffensive, calling out lies and Leftist propaganda whenever and wherever we see it. We must push back against the onslaught, against the REAL fascism and bigotry, by opposing in every lawful way each and every initiative of the Left that would seek to drag us further down the slippery slope.

I don’t have any evidence or statistics to support this, but I’ll bet the majority of the attendees at the July 4th celebration on the National Mall two days ago were Traditionalists. It’s inspiring to see so many patriotic people come out and show their support for our flag, our country, and by extension, traditional American values. The Silent Majority spoke up. May we continue to do so and pull ourselves back up that slippery slope!
