Spring, 2022 – Cliché Time

Well here we are. Time flies when you’re having fun! The hits just keep on comin’. Lots of clichés come to mind when describing the Situation. The lunatics are running the asylum is another one. It’s so bad even the Left are having to acknowledge what the sane world realized several years ago. Here’s a quick recap.

The 2016 election was corrupt, but it was the Hillary campaign that perpetrated the fraud and corruption – they just didn’t do it well enough to overcome her horrible candidacy and the degree to which Trump would appeal to Real people.

It wouldn’t take much to uncoil the spring that existed due to Obama’s harmful policies – even an inarticulate New York real estate baron/reality tv star could lead the nation out of the doldrums by simply reversing the stultifying effect of the Obama policies.

It would take more than common sense, courage, imperviousness to criticism, determination and leadership to drain the Swamp. It would take finesse, time and a keen understanding of the way Washington works to root out the dead wood, the corrupt, Leftist rot and RINO lethargy that so infected it. Trump didn’t have time to do it for all the obvious reasons. Better success next time?

The cataclysmic event that was the Trump win would so stir up the status quo that chaos would ensue even if the Left weren’t already well-entrenched in the culture, academia, judiciary, military and above-all, the media. With lots of money and an ardent determination to push the envelope toward “fundamentally transforming” the country and the hysterical Utopian fantasy … abilities honed over 40 plus years of Leftist indoctrination, propaganda and hear-string-pulling Hollywood production values coupled with a fat and happy, incredibly prosperous epoch resulting in an indolent, dumbed-down, incapable-of-critical-thinking population, we were destined to get what we’ve got!

We warned that the damage that could be wrought by a Biden win in 2020 would be incalculable. Irrespective of how you tally the numbers, the results of this administration’s policies (you can’t really blame Biden, he’s just a puppet along for the ride and, led by his nurse Jill, wallowing and luxuriating in all the trappings of the most powerful position in the world!) are plainly evident. So much so, that, OMG, the Leftists are noting that the glass of cabernet or sauv blanc at the restaurant has gone from $10 to $15 and beyond over the last 18 months!

We warned that the 2020 election, and especially the Senate race in Georgia, would be rigged and that mail-in balloting would be an invitation to fraud. Any person who believes Biden got 81 million LEGITIMATE votes needs to have his/her head examined (another cliché, sorry). On this we agreed with Trump, but unfortunately, the Trump team didn’t nip the fraud in the bud (sigh…another cliché, please forgive me) expecting that its win would be insurmountable (at 75 million it SHOULD have been!).

The border. The COVID mess. The Energy Crisis. The Baby Formula Crisis. The CRT/1619 Nonsense. The LGBTQXXX Perversion. The Ministry of Truth. The Climate Change Hoax. The Open Border. The Roe v Wade Leak. BLM and its Antecedents. ALL WERE COVERED OVER BY THE RUSSIAN CONSPIRACY LIE, THE JANUARY 6TH INSURRECTION LIE, the two GINNED UP IMPEACHMENTS, the AIDING AND ABETTING OF THE RIOTS AND MAYHEM, the TSUNAMI OF LEFTIST PROPAGANDA FILLING THE AIRWAVES, SOCIAL, BROADCAST AND PRINT MEDIA.

So, here we are, so far down the slippery slope (yes, I know, another cliché), that it will require a daunting, difficult and long term effort to right the ship ( insert wink smiley face here). It will not be enough to halt the idiocy in November. We must consciously, deliberately, transparently, forcefully if necessary, rid the Swamp of its cancerous metastasis and step-by-step work our way back up the hill to where we can once again proudly light a candle and be a beacon for liberty and freedom.

In Case You Thought It Was Politics As Usual

I’m seeing a hill, and it just may be the hill to die on. With the establishment of their Ministry of Truth/Department of Disinformation (a term invented in 1923 by none other than Stalin himself), the Democrats/Leftists are lining the far banks of the Rubicon. This is no longer a typical and predictable Democrat power grab. Losing on the 2nd Amendment, they’re now going after the granddaddy, the FIRST! They think they have created enough chaos and have sufficient momentum to permanently plant their poisonous cancer into society. And perhaps they have…

So hell bent are they on realizing their ‘fundamental transformation” that they have abandoned any pretense of civility, any acknowledgment even of what truly are human rights, or any braking capability on their leftist steamroller.

How tolerant are we supposed to be? Turning the other cheek is one thing, loving everyone is axiomatic, but shouldn’t we love the vast majority of NORMAL human beings too? Why must we bend over backwards to accommodate the aberrant, the unnatural, the fundamentally evil? Should we really tolerate the rhetoric and behavior of the tiny minority?

I know, I know. In a democratic society we should allow the wishes of the majority to be expressed through the ballot box. But we’ve seen that even the ballot box is under attack (.sic)!

In this day and age, REAL disinformation (read: “lies”) can be spread around the world in seconds, and the more shocking or heartstring-tugging the production values, the more a morally weakened, dumbed-down population allows itself to be influenced by it.

When Evil is not checked early, it gains momentum, it spreads everywhere. It robs the world of “good oxygen”, replacing it with enticing, shiny object gas that sounds and feels good, but ultimately destroys civilizations.

It’s not just sad, it causes me to turn positively religious and ask, “Dear God, why have You forsaken us?”

Of course, we know the answer to this. Free Will. But right about now those who would defend what is RIGHT must also exercise their free will to combat this scourge that threatens to destroy what is GOOD and GREAT!

We must acknowledge that our people’s attentions spans have been reduced to almost nothing. We must recognize that our people have lost their power of discernment, their ability to critically think, their courage to stand up to the screaming mob of derelict losers who would drag us down to their level of dysfunction and misery.

We must create and dispense our own sound bites, our own memes, our own heroes. We need to tug at the same heart strings, introduce our own brand of Good drugs into society…

In short, we need to MAKE TRADITIONAL COOL AGAIN!

Unfortunately, that slogan doesn’t easily fit on a baseball cap.  

Adults Needed

Alright you self-righteous, brain-addled wokies, you’ve had your tantrum and it’s now high time adults take control of the agenda. Oh wait…there are so few adults around that this boxcar we call a nation will continue to careen down the rails of the slippery slope until a crash occurs and we’re forced to rebuild almost from scratch. The price of freedom is allowing these sick, in many cases unknowingly evil people to get away with their warped and destructive rhetoric and actions. We would like to silence them, shackle them, neutralize the damage they’re doing using their tactics but if we do, we’re no better than they. As tedious and as difficult as it is and will be to wrest power and policy back from these idiots, we have to fight within the rules, such as they are, to restore sanity and substance to our nation.

I’m encouraged that more and more everyday patriots are getting involved, waking up to the nonsense/evil that has infested our school curricula, our town board agendas, and the vomitus we watch on television or hear on the radio. They are going to town meetings, attending parents’ nights at schools, talking among themselves openly about how screwed up things are.

I’m increasingly hopeful that what happened in November 2020 will not be repeated in 2022. Despite the fact that we haven’t seen perp walks associated with the shenanigans of the past six years (the wheels of justice do indeed turn slowly!), I don’t think the democrats are going to be able to pull off the ballot box stuffing and illegal rigging of the election process this time. Too many, including an increasing number of traditional-leaning democrats understand what happened in 2020, see what their foolish belief in the mainstream media bile and jump-on-the-anti-Trump bandwagon, thoughtless vote has wrought.

This time, God-willing and barring any unchecked, manufactured catastrophe and manipulation of the process, there will be far more strict adherence to voting rules and the COUNTING of the votes.

Unfortunately, I’m less confident that the leadership on the Right will use any newfound power wisely and forcefully. So concerned are some of the professional GOP swamp leaders about preserving institutions and being gentlemanly, taking the high road and being able to boast of bi-partisanship, with few exceptions they never capitalize on the power, when they have it, to truly turn things around.

Our country needs new and better leadership, plain and simple. It is not enough to point out the obvious – that the democrats have done far more damage to our country and society than good. We need heroes who can inspire our people to do what’s right.

Fortunately or unfortunately, America is a melting pot where diverse views of what’s right and wrong are all slopped together in a cauldron of political and regulatory soup. There are no candidates or leaders who embody all that is Right and behind whom the great majority of the country can rally.

Yet that’s what’s needed. Heroes who can and will inspire. Not shrill, not caustic, not pedantic, not hypocritical, but honest, articulate, deft, attractive, principled, incorruptible and persuasive!

I can find these traits, but they’re spread out and thus diluted among so many different people that there’s no one leader or group of leaders who have them all. It’s not Trump. It’s not DeSantis. It’s not Tom Cotton or Jim Jordan or Devin Nunes although with the latter we’re getting closer. Even Reagan wouldn’t cut it today.

No, our heroes need to be composites who can appeal to all generations: from Boomers to Gen Z’rs. The Boomers have wisdom. The Gen Z’rs are the inheritors. The former have to be able to instruct, inspire and mold the latter for a better, (note: NOT “progressive” as the Left pushes) world.

Maybe the heroes are Gen X’rs. Maybe Gen Y’s. They could be Boomers but they have to know the difference between iOS and Android, between WAN and LAN, between MeWe and TikTok.

Perhaps it’s better they haven’t yet emerged. They’re probably NOT swamp dwellers. They may be heroes in their current lives but probably aren’t. They may be unknown now but could be. They might come out of the woodwork like Ed Burr, the GOP truck driver who defeated the democrat senate leader in New Jersey. They might be people we already know who rise to the occasion. Whoever they are, our country needs them desperately.

I keep searching for them. Stay tuned.

Keep Your Seatbelts Fastened

While the November 2022 election is still a few months off and the outcome, at least in my mind, still uncertain due to the inimitable cheating success of the Democrats, the period between now and then will no doubt feature innumerable S shows. Looking at the chess board and assuming as is the conventional wisdom that the Democrats will lose their majorities in the House and Senate, if they are to exploit (abuse) their power during the time they have remaining, a lot is going to happen this summer.

If the Democrats want to (or a forced to) rid themselves of Biden, and assuming they are willing to allow Harris to become President (God forbid!), and wish to install their chosen Vice President soon after Harris is sworn in, it all has to happen before the new Congress is sworn in next January. The reason is that Harris (i.e. the Democrat cabal and puppet masters) will need to nominate a VP who must be confirmed by simple majority of both Houses which majority, presumably, will disappear come November.

On the other hand, it is not necessary for Harris to nominate a VP. She could fill out Biden’s term without one just as Lyndon Johnson did when he became president after Kennedy was assassinated.

And that might suit the puppet masters just fine – one less puppet to control!

A lot of people think Nancy Pelosi automatically becomes VP if Harris becomes President. Not so. What is of concern, however, is that Harris/the Puppet Masters will nominate and confirm before November some other puppet/idiot/woke/Leftist for VP.

It is imperative therefore that the prophecy of a retaking of the House and Senate come true. Irrespective of what happens with Biden/Harris, the damage they’re doing to the country can at least be arrested. If the majorities are sufficiently large, perhaps even become veto proof. (Wouldn’t THAT be glorious?) Then the mayhem could not only be arrested but REVERSED!

In any scenario, with Ukraine, COVID XX, inflation, Hunter, January 6th, 2020 election fraud, the Border, the trans onslaught, summer riots, Durham (possibly), China, supply chain disruptions, power outages, media propaganda, tech censorship/reality manipulation, absurd/false polls, etc…

IT’S GOING TO BE A MESS!

As an aside, Obama’s appearance at the White House the other day has added credence to the theory that he’s been one of the puppet masters all along, if not THE puppet master. Could he be thinking about making a comeback or installing his wife as president? Could he be working hard to advance his “fundamental transformation” agenda by any means necessary?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Oh, and keep those tray tables and seat backs in their full, upright position as well!

Who’s Really Running The Government?

It’s clear to anyone watching or reading anything but the mainstream media that Joe Biden was a plant installed by the Left so they can wield power and “fundamentally transform” our country into the ridiculous and destructive, “can’t we all get along”, utopian fantasy. So, who ARE the people pulling the marionette strings?

The Akin Gump law firm’s website has a good summary of Biden’s Department Heads and Staff. In addition to his wife/nurse, there is an impressive array of Clinton-Obama retreads and affirmative action picks straight from central casting. It is they who collectively manage whom we call president and vice-president. Look at the list and you’ll note that every other bio underscores that the individual is “the first…” of some kind. Heaven forbid we should have government officials who were picked on the basis of love-of-country, down-to-earth-in-touch-with-the-people-and-reality, rather than academic or professional politician qualifications! The list reeks of favoritism and political correctness!

Everyone knows the players who appear on tv periodically: Lloyd Austin (DOD); Mark Milley (ChmnJCS); Xavier Becerra(DHS); Jennifer Granholm (DOE); Alejandro Mayorkas (DHS); Merrick Garland (DOJ); Anthony Blinken (DOS); Pete Buttigieg (DOT); Janet Yellen (DOT); Jake Sullivan (National Security Advisor) and of course Jen Psaki (WH Press Sec).

Less visible are Ron Klain (Chief of Staff); William Burns (CIA); Avril Haines (DNI); Brian Deese (Dir National Economic Council); Isabel Guzman (SBA); Brenda Mallory (Chair, Council on Environment Quality); Gina McCarthy (National Climate Advisor); Cecilia Rouse (Chair, Council of Economic Advosrs); Neera Tanden (Director, OMB); Steve Ricchetti (Counselor to the President). Samantha Power (Administrator – US AID) and Susan Rice (Director, Domestic Policy Council) are both nefarious and notorious former Obama minions who undoubtedly wield tremendous influence while serving as communication links to the Fundamental-Transformer-in-Chief himself.

No doubt, other Obama sycophants lurk in the background. Who can forget the odious David Plouffe, Bill Daley, Valerie Jarrett, John Kerry, Gene Sperling, Eric Holder, Hilda Solis, Shaun Donovan, Kathleen Sebelius, Ken Salazar.

A new label should be applied to these people: RBG. Not Ruth Bader Ginsburg but Rasputin Bergerac Geppetto. They are cunning and evil like Rasputin, tell Biden and Harris what they’re supposed to say like Bergerac and pull the puppet strings like Geppetto did Pinocchio.

And of course, there are Obama himself as well as Hillary and all the other tag-alongs.

This administration’s ineptitude and destructiveness is not due solely to Obama whispering in Biden’s ear, however. The S Show is due to the daily keystone cops routine and woke-at-all-costs approach it is taking toward managing the country.

Now throw in the wacko leftists like AOC and the Squad, Bernie, the smooth talking, power and money-grubbing professional politician democrats, and couple these vermin with the deep staters who populate the millions of square feet of government space in Washington and elsewhere, and you have the ultimate example of CHAOS. While government always embodies chaos, there’s a difference between chaotic behavior moving in one direction and chaotic behavior that resembles a rock being thrown at a wasp’s nest! Guess which one describes the Biden administration…

They want to “re-imagine” policing? How about “re-imagining” government altogether? Instead of de-funding the military and the police, how about defunding the government leviathan?

“Shut down the government? We can’t do that!”, squeal the members of the Deep State bureaucracy.

Oh yes we can! We’ve had several government shutdowns in my lifetime and frankly, the majority of us hardly missed a beat!

Leftist ideology, the Deep State, the tech oligarchy and all the other destructive-to-America forces are a cancer that must be first put into remission then eradicated if this and future generations are ever to once again enjoy the benefits created by the traditional principles and norms that made our country the greatest in the history of the world.

Let’s destroy the cancer by starting with the puppet-masters.

Misinformation, Disinformation, No Information

Chaos is, well, chaotic. Let’s face it, the Left has succeeded in screwing things up so royally that their strategy of creating chaos so as to make the most people dependent on them as possible is working. While some are just getting back to some sense of normalcy after the “pandemic”, getting used to responding to an alarm clock and heading back to on-site work, others are still cowering in kitchens and walking around in masks. There are still virtue signaling “Hate hath no home here” and “We Believe” signs on some lawns but they’re now cockeyed (Occasionally I see a Biden-Harris sticker although it’s usually on a Prius driven by a recycled hippie.) For the moment, gas is available though getting more and more expensive by the day. The truck convoy has been moved to the back pages of the media, and cat food is still hard to come by in the stores. Few at this moment are dutifully counting the number of illegal aliens slipping across our southern border. News channels compete for how “breaking”, how bloody their coverage is. Never has the slogan, “follow the money” been more apt. Even philanthropies are trying to exploit the chaos by flooding us with an unprecedented number of phone calls, text messages, snail and email. Selfishness and self-centeredness, “looking out for number one” have taken over.

It’s a mess.

With instant communication via the internet and social media, ANYONE can shape perception, thus reality. But how much more adept at “creating” reality are the pros in politics, government, Hollywood and the media than the average snowflake photoshopping an image to create a meme?

No matter how erudite the source, not one institution, organization or entity has a grasp of the totality of what’s going on. Politicians still pontificate, with even greater breathlessness and ever more shallow and poll-tested, made-for-the-cameras commentary. Never has the slogan “if it bleeds it leads” been more apt. And never before has information been so colored, absent or FAKE as it is right now. 

What’s happening in Ukraine is overshadowing everything at the moment. It may not tomorrow, when Ebola is announced in Santa Barbara or murder hornets are found in Barrington, but this morning it’s Ukraine Ukraine Ukraine.

We all can absorb and assimilate only so much input, so fast. Trying to sort out what’s real, what’s relevant, what’s actionable and what’s just entertainment takes too much time, time we might spend more usefully doing things that will give us greater growth, prosperity, security and meaning.

In 1931 the president of Columbia University voiced the categorization that “The vast population of this earth, and indeed nations themselves, may readily be divided into three groups. There are the few who make things happen, the many more who watch things happen, and the overwhelming majority who have no notion of what happens.” Doomsday Preppers are stocking their shelves for the Apocalypse. Snowflakes are creating “apps” to hold and collectively wring their hands. Others bitch and moan and drink and return to their old routines.

So, what to make of all this?

Our recommendation is to stop, take a breath and re-dedicate yourself to the tried and true principle of critical thinking. Rather than define this principle myself, I’ll borrow from the description found here.

“Critical thinking is an approach to gathering data and making inferences about the world. It advocates an approach of data acquisition and rational assessment. When applying critical thinking, the goal is to collect as much relevant data as possible, assess that data for accuracy, and finally use the data to arrive at the most justified conclusions possible.

Critical thinking is an ongoing process, and even ideas that one feels are well supported need to be occasionally reevaluated to see if new information might change one’s mind. For example, critical thinking eventually showed that Copernicus was correct in claiming that the Sun was the center of the solar system, even though many people believed this to be false at the time. However, this didn’t make him completely correct either, since more critical thinking showed that he was wrong on other things (he also thought that the Sun was the center of the universe).

Critical thinking uses many aspects of formal logic and informal logic. It also focuses on discovering bias, propaganda, delusion and deception (more generally, logical fallacies) both in the sources of one’s information and one’s own views and approaches to reasoning problems out.

Leftists conflate critical thinking with critical race theory and postmodernism, the latter by using verbiage that implies one needs to look out for meanings behind words and determining for oneself what occurs, while at the same time advocating that all reality is fictional and that one can create their own ideas and reality.”

In short, be a skeptic of EVERYTHING. Remember Grumps’ First Law of Experts:

“On any subject one can find a minimum of twelve, world-renowned experts who can cite documented, empirical, irrefutable evidence to support arguments that are diametrically opposed to one another.” Translation: “Use critical thinking, form and trust your own judgment.”

On Ukraine

With all of the flak (.sic) out there on the Russia-Ukraine conflict and with virtually every political faction trying to score points out of it, what is one to think about what is transpiring over there? Here’s my take.

First, some context. Either the United States is the epitome of freedom, democracy and the best hope mankind has to achieve and maintain peace and prosperity or it is not. Fundamentally, what underlies America’s greatness are its natural and human resources, and its founding principles. The former gives us our wealth. The latter is the electricity that lights the beacon on the hill.

To varying degrees jealousy, envy, ego, megalomania, greed, and power hungriness on the part of the rest of the world, and, regrettably, fundamental, evil intent on the part of some, underlies a constant desire to knock us down. The regimes of Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela are all cases in point.

Why has Putin invaded Ukraine? Obviously, it’s a combination of the factors cited above. Totally predictable (and it WAS predicted). And totally preventable (as the previous administration demonstrated).

Deterring Russia (and the other rogue states) and preventing incursions such as those in Crimea, Ukraine and prospectively Taiwan and South Korea CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT STRENGTH AND RESOLVE. Biden and the weak, woke, sycophants who surround him have neither. It is emblematic of just how stupid they are that they focus on climate change and LBGTQ issues in the military ranks and tout these as ‘leadership’ instead of focusing on the strengthening of our country, increasing our self-reliance, projecting freedom and democracy.

What is it about the Left that they think “we can all get along”, to quote Rodney King, that if we are just nice to everyone, they will want to be nice back? It must be part of their utopian fantasy that makes them unable to understand that the only thing the Axis of Evil/rogue states understand is STRENGTH. Biden’s complete capitulation to the Left has allowed their leaders to point to America and assert “See, they’re not so big and powerful.”

At the core, Biden’s obliteration of our energy independence was a monumental shooting of ourselves in the foot (or some other part of our anatomy). At best it was sheer incompetence on his part driven by the eco-fascist lunatics he’s surrounded himself with. At worst it was TREASON!

But making us once again reliant on imported oil and thus unable to turn to Germany and say, “Stand strong, tell Russia they can keep their oil and gas and we’ll supply you with all you need” has allowed Russia to place a Damocles sword over Western Europe. Without our RESOLVE and STRENGTH, Germany has no choice but to treat Russia with kid gloves!

THIS is what Leftist rule has wrought. THIS is the damage we predicted the Democrats would do to us after November 2020. THIS is what the money and ideology-driven media and tech companies have empowered them to foist on not just our people, but the world as a whole. When the sheriff leaves town, the criminals and bandits have a field day, and that’s what’s happening in Ukraine.

Some have noted that for us to have done more, i.e. placed boots on the ground in Ukraine, would have put us into another costly war. But stupidly, Biden telegraphed to Putin that America wouldn’t do that, and with that assurance, Putin was free to make his move. What idiot tells his adversary what cards he’s willing to play and not play? It’s as if this moron was holding his cards backward so that Putin could not only read them clearly, but Biden couldn’t either!

The answer to the question Blinken was asked the other day, “Why didn’t this happen under the previous administration?” is simple…because Biden knew Trump would take pre-emptive or decisive action if Putin were to make the kind of military moves he did right in front of Biden’s nose. It’s laughable that the Left’s answer to this question is “Because Trump, as Putin’s puppet, gave Putin everything he wanted without his having to spend any military or political capital.” What pure, sheer BS!

But that’s what the Leftist media do. They concoct the most absurd explanations and justifications and with the right intonations and incantations, with the right music and backgrounds on their sets, they convince a good number of unthinking, gullible Americans that Biden and his crew are righteously engaged in solving the world’s problems.

If you’re as sick of this administration’s idiocy regarding Ukraine as you are of the COVID mess, I suggest you take some Maalox or Pepto Bismol, as I do, and hunker down prepared for a lot more of this S-show to come.

Is The Pendulum Starting To Swing Back?

Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but evidence that the American public has had just about enough of the idiocies emanating from Washington and are finally pushing the pendulum back the other way is starting to emerge. The revulsion against everything leftist has been there all along, of course, but recently it has become ok to “say the quiet part out loud”. An example of this concerning the COVID response comes from Zero Hedge:

HBO host Bill Maher and writer Bari Weiss received a somewhat-surprising rapturous round of applause from the mostly liberal audience during Friday’s show after they dropped truth-bomb after truth-bomb into the pool of dissonance that remains among blinkered leftists unable to think for themselves about COVID risks and see beyond the “I must zealously support anything and everything that Fauci or Biden say or I am a Trumper” mindset.”

Parents speaking up in school board meetings. States beginning to relax mask and vaccine mandates. Even the CDC shamelessly is flip flopping once again on its guidance essentially saying, “It’s over now…everyone can relax”. Jenn Psaki is exhibiting the most intricate verbal contortions attempting to explain the government’s policy.

But hold on. Is this really a pendulum swing shift to the Right or is it just more Leftist shenanigans for political gain?

I regret to say it’s most likely the latter.

The Leftist swing has always been opposed by a majority of the American people. It may not be a large majority, but a majority nonetheless. As is their wont, the Left overplayed their hand and the parents of school-age children and the hardworking middle class were pushed too far, and the Left knows it.

So now they’re changing their tune and claim the “science” has changed. Having been played for fools, even a significant percentage of Democrats have slammed on the brakes and said, “No way Jose”! And so now, the Left is going to vociferously announce that it was THEIR POLICIES that brought about the end of the pandemic.

It’s not going to work. The American people no longer believe anything coming out of the mouths of either Biden or Psaki or Blinken or least of all, Kamala Harris. The media will trumpet this end of masks as a Biden accomplishment. Psaki has already started to explain the change of attitude as due to Biden’s brilliance. AND WE AIN’T BUYIN IT!

That the American people have thrown the BS flag onto the field, however, does not necessarily mean that the pendulum is decidedly moving rightward. I think it’s too early to tell.

We still have to clean up the voting disaster or else the Democrats will cheat their way to minimizing the damage that should occur this coming November. We still have to slog through all the crises and minefields (as well as ‘mind’fields) that the Democrats will create between now and the election. We still have to get the now significantly divided GOP on the same page so we don’t end up in another circular firing squad this Fall.

And perhaps most importantly, we have to prevent the following scenario:

1. Biden nominates Kamala Harris for the Supreme Court and the Dems shove it down the GOP’s throat somehow (maybe by buying off or placing guns to the heads of Manchin and Sinema). Somehow, she is confirmed.

2. Biden appoints Hillary Vice President.

3. Biden steps down or the 25th Amendment is invoked.

4. Hillary becomes President.

Sound crazy? Would you put ANYTHING past the Democrats and the Clintons?

So, is the pendulum swinging back to the Right? I fear the string is bent in a right angle but that length between the angle and the pivot is still pointed Left. As the Democrats get more and more fearful, their tactics will become more and more unhinged.

We must straighten out the string and push both it and the bob at the bottom to the Right as quickly and as forcefully as we can. And we must be prepared to protect and defend the integrity of the election in November!

“I Was Wrong”: Words You’ll Never Hear From The Left

As fond as Joe Biden is of quoting his father, I thought I’d write about an aphorism MY father taught me. It is: “The hallmark of a powerful man is the ability to admit when he is wrong.” In my opinion, one of the biggest problems the Democrats have is their unwillingness to do just that. That they’re wrong on most everything is undeniable except by die-hard leftist delusionists, pedants and sycophants. The last thing I want to do is give them a formula for righting (.sic) their sinking ship, but how jarring and rejuvenating would it be for the Democratic leadership to come up to the microphone and say the words, “America, we were wrong. We were wrong about the economy, about the border, about COVID, masks, lockdowns, about therapeutics and mandates, about defunding the police, about energy independence, about wokeness in the military, about selective prosecution, about lying for political gain, about the means and methods we used to manufacture and count illegitimate votes during the 2020 elections, about unconscionable gerrymandering, about packing the Supreme Court, about ending the filibuster, about Russian collusion, about the Afghanistan withdrawal, about the sham impeachments, about apologizing for and defending anti-American, antisemitic, anti-Christian bigots, about transgenderism, about deviant behavior (e.g. pedophilia), about critical race theory and the 1619 Project, about kowtowing to the unions, about conflict of interest investing with impunity, about suppression of dissenting views and canceling voices that disagree with us or don’t preach the leftist orthodoxy, about supporting fake news, fake polls and ignoring the will of the Silent Majority, about an ambiguous, flaccid and indefensible foreign policy, about China, about Iran, about North Korea, about Venezuela, about CUBA, about Russia…”

They will of course never admit any of this nor claim to be wrong on anything.

Much as I detest the content of the nonsense that spews forth from the mouth of the White House spokesperson Jen Psaki every day, I have to give her credit for her mastery at the podium. She has that skillful facility to deny, decry, defend, deflect, divert, dissemble, detract, and dismiss. “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is”. Contrast her with two other equally talented spin doctor/press secretaries: Kayleigh McEnany and Dana Perino. The difference between Psaki and the other two is that the former can ONLY use the list of ‘d words’ above while McEnany and Perino had truth, facts and fundamental honesty on their side. They too spun the messaging so as to cast as positive a light on both successes and shed the spotlight on the failures of their administrations. But the successes so far outweighed the failures the preponderance of messaging was straight up truth. By contrast, Psaki has to cover, “circle back”, postpone, attempt to belittle valid questions, launch ad hominem attacks or just outright lie to cover the failures of the Biden administration. And of course, she NEVER admits Democrat wrongdoing.

Over the years I’ve had to admit I was wrong many times. It always stabs me in the gut to do it, but I WILL admit mistakes when I make them. Oh that we had leaders that could and would do so as well.

I’ve been reading Dwight D. Eisenhower’s book written shortly after World War II, “Crusade in Europe.” In it he describes the character attributes that would disqualify potential commanders: “Foremost among these was the one who seemed to be self-seeking in the matter of promotion.” Another was evidence that a man made any effort to ‘pass the buck’. Pessimists were eschewed, as were men who made every decision himself, i.e. who was unable to delegate both authority and responsibility. In the book he recounts numerous incidents when his own estimates or judgments were faulty or just plain wrong. The consensus building, the arbitrating, the therapy he had to administer to get the Allied commands to work together was superb preparation for leadership not just of the military, but of, as it turned out, the Country. Admitting he was wrong when he was garnered deep respect and support from the Allied command.

Lay these attributes up against what we have now. Self-aggrandizement on the part of all politicians is inveterate but the narcissism of the celebrity-addicted Left is manifest and amplified by a makeup-laden media. I’ll posit that the Left’s pre-occupation with celebrity has infected and damaged the two youngest generations to the point where social media (a euphemism to be sure) has created an almost universal self-centeredness among them.

Passing the buck or blaming everyone but oneself is commonplace, a REAL pandemic, but especially among the Left (Did you hear Kamala Harris the other day blame Congress for not fixing the border?!).

Weak-kneed positions on crime, on our duty and responsibility to be the beacon of freedom in the world (Nancy Pelosi: “Go compete at the Olympics but be careful not to offend the Chinese.”; “We will boycott the Olympics by not sending any diplomats.”), on supporting not tearing apart the American dream, about the rule of law, about the Constitution itself…the Left and Democrats have deliberately sought to “transform our country” according to a Rules for Radicals (Saul Alinsky), frankly, communist way.

I’ve been encouraged of late that there is more talk among the Republican leadership of fashioning a Contract With America version 2.0. I think they’ve figured out that it is not enough to expose and openly denigrate the idiocies of the Democrat Left. It is imperative that we provide an alternative vision of what America can and should be. Unfortunately, the Democrats have so mucked things up, it will be necessary to enact harsh measures to eradicate the detritus they have scattered across the political, social and economic landscape.

We need to distribute “No More Mr. Nice Guy” coffee cups to every elected or appointed, conservative-minded, constitution-supporting Republican now or prospectively in office. The true fabric of our nation is frayed and, in some cases, hanging by a thread. If we screw up along the way, we need to admit our mistakes and make course corrections that keep us on a path leading up the slippery slope down which we have so lamentably slid.

And by contrast let’s NOT encourage the Left to admit their mistakes. Let’s continue to point out their fallacies and destructiveness while also adhering to Napolean’s maxim: “Never interfere with the enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself.”

And let us fashion a positive, seductive message that begins to restore America to the greatness her people deserve.

We Told You So

Before the November 2020 election I warned that if Biden won and the Senate were to fall into Democrat hands the amount of damage they would cause over the subsequent two years would be incalculable. What is astounding to me now is not that they did exactly what I said they would do. What is astounding is that there are STILL Americans who continue to pitch, continue to believe, continue to support this Leftist, incompetent, destructive agenda. It makes one wonder whether CLINICALLY, a good portion of the population has gone insane.

Forget the press. Forget the media for a moment. Stop and look around you. Many things seem normal, but a huge number of things are not. If you ask yourself, “are we better off today than we were three years ago?” “two years ago?” “one year ago?”, the answers have to be unequivocally “no”.

Yes, I know the press is finally starting to question the administration’s record and scorecard. But this has everything to do with ratings and revenues. Their ideology remains the same. The media continues to believe in their social justice warrior, utopian, wokeness, madness. They’re just losing their audience as reality belies what they’ve been pitching for so long. Even the hottest music single gets tiresome after a while. They’re trying new approaches to win back viewers. Their reporting is a reflection of their audience, not honest recounting of what’s going on.

So where does this leave us?

In deep yogurt.

By that I mean that the Democrats have succeeded. They have created so much chaos, so much division, so much havoc and redefinition of what is normal that trying to assert or impose sanity on half the country is an extremely tall order. There is no simple formula, no messianic leader who can quickly pull us out of this spiral. It will now take years of fighting to restore civility, order, sanity, to both our country and the world.

The Democrats have put us in such an awful state that serious questions arise: Will Putin invade Ukraine? Will Xi invade Taiwan? My guess is they have more power and influence by NOT executing those incursions than if they do.

If, however, one or both occur, Katie bar the door, we will be in more than deep yogurt. On the one hand as a country we will galvanize. On the other hand, we will see the complete destruction of our moral authority in the world, the final demise of our prestige, honor and leadership. And we won’t be building back better. We will have to completely rebuild our nation from scratch.

God help us.
