Saying Inflation Is Abating Is True, But It’s Gaslighting

I read a Reuters headline this morning: “Fed’s Goolsbee says fall in US inflation is not just a blip” and the sip of coffee I had just taken got stuck at the top of my throat. My degree in economics was largely useless, but one thing I do remember was the class on this subject because it dealt with why the price of gas I put in my 1970 Pontiac Le Mans was rising from 28 cents (!) a gallon to $.32 to $.35. (Yeah, I’m that old.)

Let’s start with the words, “fall in US inflation”. Sounds like a good thing, right? It is, except that the gaslighting is inherent in trying to create the impression that PRICES of goods and services are falling. Ain’t so. THEY ARE STILL RISING.

Inflation means RISING PRICES. It doesn’t mean HIGHER PRICES. If we are experiencing inflation, it means simply that prices are rising. To say that there is a “fall” in inflation therefore doesn’t mean that prices are coming down but that they’re NOT RISING AS FAST.

It’s a lot like the nonsense that spews forth from politicians’ mouths when they talk about REDUCING SPENDING. They’re lying. They’re not reducing spending at all…they’re reducing the RATE at which spending is increasing. How the hell else do you think we went from discussing budgets and spending levels in the BILLIONS to budgets and spending levels in the TRILLIONS!

What’s more…inflation (i.e. PRICES started rising) kicked in with a vengeance after Biden came into office. The general (rate of) inflation over the four years Trump was in office was 1-2% per year. Prices were still rising, but at a slow pace. Wages rose (you got about a 2-3% raise each of those years right?) and so you were gaining in that your income was rising faster than the cost of things and thus your standard of living was improving!

Biden comes in, whacks energy production, starts throwing money out of helicopters both to our own population as well as the mullahs, and pretty quickly gas doubles (and in some cases triples), a half-gallon of milk hits $6, a dozen eggs as much as $5 and needless to say, our standard of living starts to retract very quickly.

Meanwhile, expenses for employers go up as well leaving less to pay employees, so while INFLATION is raging close to double digits, take home pay remains stagnant. Thanks Joe.

All of this is academic of course. We all feel the effects of rising prices (aka INFLATION) whether we’re well off or just making ends meet.

So when Biden’s minions spew garbage like, paraphrasing the Reuters article, “inflation (what they want you to believe to be PRICES) is coming down”: first, it’s NOT prices that are coming down, they’re just rising at a slower rate, and second, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRICES HAVING RISEN TO THESE RIDICULOUS LEVELS TO START WITH!

Don’t allow ourselves to be gaslighted. Don’t believe what this administration says for a second. Believe your eyes and the fewer greenbacks in your pockets!

The Fake News Is The Stupid News

So, AXIOS, this alleged paragon of purported “neutral” reporting, publishes an article on the GOP Freedom Caucus’ position on raising the debt ceiling which position, in short, amounts to insistence that SPENDING be reduced. The headline of the article is “Freedom Caucus draws battle lines on debt ceiling”. It can be found here.

First, the attempt, which seems to be the hallmark of ALL so-called journalism, to turn a meaningful and needful conversation into a battle, the better to turn the article into an invitation to rubber-neck (remember, “if it bleeds it leads”).

Second, the author simply MUST characterize the Freedom Caucus as “The Right-Wing House Freedom Caucus”. Would he ever refer to Chuck Schumer as the “Left-Wing Senate Minority Leader?” His implication is clear. Right = bad. Left = normal.

Third, and this is the statement that almost made me spit out my coffee. In the section entitled, “Why it Matters” the author writes the most stupid explanation I think I’ve ever heard, and while I have an undergraduate degree in economics, it doesn’t take any formal training in the field to see how incredibly idiotic it is. He says, and I quote,

“Their [the Freedom Caucus‘] votes on the debt ceiling could mean the difference between the U.S. continuing to be able to borrow money to pay off its debts and a potentially catastrophic default.”

Yes, you read that right. The United States must borrow more money to pay off the money it owes.

That’s like obtaining a credit card and taking a cash advance to make the payments on another credit card that’s already max’d out.

What could go wrong?

And THIS is what passes for journalism. This is what the dimwits in Washington feed on. This is how dumbed-down and completely ignorant of basic sense the media/reporting has become.

This is the result of giving a voice to a whole generation of poorly educated, easily duped and fundamentally dysfunctional and child-like Millennial through Gen Z so-called ‘reporters’.

Sigh…

A Black Swan May Be The Only Thing That Will Stop This Madness

In my previous post I concluded that it may take a cataclysmic event to restore sanity to our nation. I’m not talking about the price of eggs or gas skyrocketing, or store shelves being empty for a few days. I’m talking about something that will cause even the most dumbed-down, brain-addled, handheld-screen-addicted person to pick his or her head up and say, “Wow, maybe some things are more important than what the Kardashians are up to this week!”

I’ve long said that Economics is the dismal science, an academic exercise in futility, and while it may be fun and may earn a whole raft of propeller-heads an income, even wealth, it’s really only mental masturbation of the highest order.

Why do I say this? Because economics deals with building “models” that describe what the panoply of pulled levers have caused in the past with the hope that those models will help us predict the future. The fundamental problem with these models, however, is that they depend on two flawed assumptions: 1) the “rational man” and 2) the “absence of an outside shock”.

In case you haven’t been paying attention let me state the obvious:

First, there is no such thing as a rational man (or woman). All human beings are driven, at least in part if not entirely, by feelings, perceptions, etc., what I’d characterize as “squishy stuff”, NOT rational, analytical thought.

And, as we have all seen, “outside shocks” OCCUR ALL THE TIME! They differ in magnitude, of course, but they destroy models’ explanations of the past and their usefulness as predictors of the future.

Nevertheless, thousands of economists and bureaucrats pontificate endlessly on the overarching topics that impact our daily lives and GET PAID TO DO SO! Sometimes they’re right, more often they’re wrong, but they persevere.

In his famous book, Nassim Nicholas Taleb defines a Black Swan as an improbable event with three basic characteristics: it is unpredictable, it has massive impact, and after the fact, explanations are concocted to make it appear less random.

Examples of past Black Swan events include: the 2000 Do-Com Crash, 9-11, the Fall of Lehman Brothers, the Fukushima and Chernobyl nuclear Disasters, BREXIT, and most recently, COVID.

None of these were severe enough to wake people up. The effects, though severe, were not of such duration that people got serious about paying attention to things that matter.

Now we’re sufficiently far down the slippery slope, there is sufficient chaos, there is enough “information” flak in the air, that only a really BIG Black Swan of significant duration will, in my opinion, bring us back to REAL Reality!

So, what might such a Black Swan consist of?

China invading Taiwan
Israel nuking Tehran
The North Koreans launching a nuke at Japan
The San Andreas fault creating Nevada beach-front property
Tactical nukes get used in Ukraine
NATO deploys troops to Ukraine
The Stock Market crashes
The Yellowstone Volcano erupts
Biden resigns and Harris becomes President and Michele Obama becomes Vice President (threw this one in because it is such a frightening nightmare!)
A terrorist attack on the 9 key substations takes down the electrical grid for from 3 months to a year
Another, more deadly virus gets out of a lab
A coronal mass ejection REALLY hits Earth and wipes out much of what is electronic

I could conjure up more… These are just some “known unknowns”. A Black Swan is by definition an “unknown unknown”!

That one about a protracted blackout is the one that worries me the most. Three weeks without electricity and we’re in trouble. Three months without electricity and we’re in a shit-hit-the-fan, possibly even TEOTWAKI (The End of the World As We Know It) situation. I urge my readers to think about this stuff. The time to prepare for a Black Swan walking up your driveway isn’t after it’s already at your front door. It’s not as if we haven’t been forewarned and as if we don’t see how vulnerable our country and society is.

GrumpsReport Now On GETTR

Dear Readers. Things are moving so fast (still downhill I’m afraid) that to comment and remain current on breaking news and the vast array of insanity infecting society, we have elected to (gulp) dip our toe into the mayhem of social media by establishing an account and presence on the relatively new platform called GETTR. (https://gettr.com/). Enroll and look up Grumps and/or @GrumpsActual. There you’ll see all our commentary.

As our blood pressure rises and corpuscles boil, we’re able to respond/comment/rail quickly using this medium. The jury is still out as to whether we’ll stay on this platform, or any of the others for that matter: GAB, TruthSocial, Rumble, Parler, etc. but we’ll give it a try for a while.

Let us know what you think!

And hang in there!

Misinformation, Disinformation, No Information

Chaos is, well, chaotic. Let’s face it, the Left has succeeded in screwing things up so royally that their strategy of creating chaos so as to make the most people dependent on them as possible is working. While some are just getting back to some sense of normalcy after the “pandemic”, getting used to responding to an alarm clock and heading back to on-site work, others are still cowering in kitchens and walking around in masks. There are still virtue signaling “Hate hath no home here” and “We Believe” signs on some lawns but they’re now cockeyed (Occasionally I see a Biden-Harris sticker although it’s usually on a Prius driven by a recycled hippie.) For the moment, gas is available though getting more and more expensive by the day. The truck convoy has been moved to the back pages of the media, and cat food is still hard to come by in the stores. Few at this moment are dutifully counting the number of illegal aliens slipping across our southern border. News channels compete for how “breaking”, how bloody their coverage is. Never has the slogan, “follow the money” been more apt. Even philanthropies are trying to exploit the chaos by flooding us with an unprecedented number of phone calls, text messages, snail and email. Selfishness and self-centeredness, “looking out for number one” have taken over.

It’s a mess.

With instant communication via the internet and social media, ANYONE can shape perception, thus reality. But how much more adept at “creating” reality are the pros in politics, government, Hollywood and the media than the average snowflake photoshopping an image to create a meme?

No matter how erudite the source, not one institution, organization or entity has a grasp of the totality of what’s going on. Politicians still pontificate, with even greater breathlessness and ever more shallow and poll-tested, made-for-the-cameras commentary. Never has the slogan “if it bleeds it leads” been more apt. And never before has information been so colored, absent or FAKE as it is right now.

What’s happening in Ukraine is overshadowing everything at the moment. It may not tomorrow, when Ebola is announced in Santa Barbara or murder hornets are found in Barrington, but this morning it’s Ukraine Ukraine Ukraine.

We all can absorb and assimilate only so much input, so fast. Trying to sort out what’s real, what’s relevant, what’s actionable and what’s just entertainment takes too much time, time we might spend more usefully doing things that will give us greater growth, prosperity, security and meaning.

In 1931 the president of Columbia University voiced the categorization that “The vast population of this earth, and indeed nations themselves, may readily be divided into three groups. There are the few who make things happen, the many more who watch things happen, and the overwhelming majority who have no notion of what happens.” Doomsday Preppers are stocking their shelves for the Apocalypse. Snowflakes are creating “apps” to hold and collectively wring their hands. Others bitch and moan and drink and return to their old routines.

So, what to make of all this?

Our recommendation is to stop, take a breath and re-dedicate yourself to the tried and true principle of critical thinking. Rather than define this principle myself, I’ll borrow from the description found here.

“Critical thinking is an approach to gathering data and making inferences about the world. It advocates an approach of data acquisition and rational assessment. When applying critical thinking, the goal is to collect as much relevant data as possible, assess that data for accuracy, and finally use the data to arrive at the most justified conclusions possible.

Critical thinking is an ongoing process, and even ideas that one feels are well supported need to be occasionally reevaluated to see if new information might change one’s mind. For example, critical thinking eventually showed that Copernicus was correct in claiming that the Sun was the center of the solar system, even though many people believed this to be false at the time. However, this didn’t make him completely correct either, since more critical thinking showed that he was wrong on other things (he also thought that the Sun was the center of the universe).

Critical thinking uses many aspects of formal logic and informal logic. It also focuses on discovering bias, propaganda, delusion and deception (more generally, logical fallacies) both in the sources of one’s information and one’s own views and approaches to reasoning problems out.

Leftists conflate critical thinking with critical race theory and postmodernism, the latter by using verbiage that implies one needs to look out for meanings behind words and determining for oneself what occurs, while at the same time advocating that all reality is fictional and that one can create their own ideas and reality.”

In short, be a skeptic of EVERYTHING. Remember Grumps’ First Law of Experts:

“On any subject one can find a minimum of twelve, world-renowned experts who can cite documented, empirical, irrefutable evidence to support arguments that are diametrically opposed to one another.” Translation: “Use critical thinking, form and trust your own judgment.”

Act Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace

Some of my readers have asked recently why my posts come in bursts and why they seem to have tapered off in recent months. The answer is simple. Actions speak louder than words. I have markedly stepped up my activities that, for lack of a simpler description, consist of championing the “Let’s Go Brandon” movement. And if you don’t know what that slogan means, you have your head in the sand and should pull it out and look it up. It’s not just an anti-administration motivation that drives me. It’s the recognition that despite my reservations, despite the impingement on my time and energy, I must actually DO something, not just talk about it.

So I have. I have worked to expand my network of like-minded people also disgusted by what they see transpiring before their eyes. We meet regularly and discuss the atrocities of the day and what our extended networks are telling us about leftist overreach and right-minded push back. We talk about contingency plans. We speak in public settings (e.g. in bars, restaurants, at the grocery store) openly and unabashedly about the toxic drivel coming out of the Biden administration, the lies, deceit, misinformation of the main stream media, and we openly applaud those who sport patriotic tee shirts and hats.

And here’s something I’ve learned. As angry as I am about the Democrat daily atrocities, I’ve found that the Democrats who surround me respond better to subtle encouragement rather than overt condemnation. As much as I’d like to grab them by the neck and rub their noses in the excrement they’ve left all over the ground, I’ve found a better formula, one that doesn’t corner and confront them, but that gives them an escape route.

For example, the other day I was deployed as a member of our community emergency response team and as we worked on setting up our equipment I overheard one of the members say something about attending a Democrat meeting of one sort or another. As the conversation ended and the Democrat and I came in close proximity to one another, I said to him, “Wow Bob, I would have never pegged you for a Democrat.” His expression was priceless. It was clear he was embarrassed to have been outed!

My statement was, of course, both a compliment as well as a dig. I acknowledged he was a good guy, with smarts and skills and organizational ability, while also pointing out my surprise that anyone possessing these attributes could be a Democrat!

I’m encouraged by the fact that there are more and more traditionalist/conservative blogs, videos and other forms of media published every day. As I’ve often stated, there are many who’s ability to articulate the outrage we all feel far surpasses my own, and it’s clear, reading or viewing their work, that we all have similar sentiments. Thus, I’ve frequently begun a post only to find that someone has already covered what I want to say, and far better than I could.

I’m tempted, and may in fact act on this, to add a curation feature to GrumpsReport. Curation, by the way, is one of those terms, usually applied to the selection of displays in a museum, that the tech world has co-opted and abused. But its apt. What I’m suggesting is the establishment of a section with links to specific articles, videos, tweets, etc. that are particularly intriguing, thought-provoking or bile-inducing. Thus, my readers will have a sense of what I’m made up of.  As we all know, “we are what we consume”, and that goes for what we read, watch and listen to as well.

In the meantime, please understand that the fewer hours I spend writing the more I spend actually doing something about the stuff I’m so pissed off about!

I hope you’ll join me in DOING SOMETHING. Speak up, act out, join with, and by all means, help the unfortunate (I’m being extremely generous) Democrats and independents who think that everything’s just swell to wake up, open their eyes, filter out the bs they’re consuming and start thinking with their heads instead of other parts of their anatomies.

Prepping at the Tipping Point

I’m not a fan of what I call “Prepper Porn”.  That’s the content of thousands of books, websites, articles, etc. predicting the Apocalypse and what everyone must do to survive scenes like those depicted in “The Walking Dead.” On the other hand, I was a Boy Scout in the old days when the BSA was the character and skills training ground for young men. The slogan was “Be Prepared.”

While it’s impossible to be prepared for everything: TEOTWAWKI (The End of the World as We Know it), SHTF (‘Stuff’ Hit the Fan), Armageddon, a nuclear holocaust, reversal of the Earth’s geomagnetic poles, a direct hit from an asteroid, EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse), CME (Coronal Mass Ejection), a Zombie Invasion…common sense suggests that being prepared as much and as realistically as possible for life’s emergencies is a hell of a lot better than being unprepared!

Once upon a time I had two 55 gallon drums of water in my garage, several buckets of raw wheat and a few other items that amounted to “preparation.” The fact that I never used them didn’t discount their value, but even if a catastrophe had occurred, they wouldn’t have done me or my family much good.

As I look back on the emergencies that befell us during various times and in various living locations, I’m nevertheless grateful for the preparedness mindset that my Scout days imprinted on me. While the worst hasn’t happened yet, our family was subjected to a lot of natural and man-made problems: hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, high winds, bad snowstorms, localized floods, heat waves and other harmful natural events; relatively sudden general and personal economic downturns; supply disruptions of food, gasoline and staples; strikes; prolonged power outages; mass transit failures; accidents; pest infestation; injuries; illness; and of course, 9-11 and the Pandemic. Each was a wake-up call.

Yet each time, once the emergency had passed, we retreated into complacency and a sub-conscious attitude that “we weathered it and we’ll do so again when and if it happens.”

Does any of this sound or feel familiar?

Some of the emergencies were man-made, some were natural. We survived them all, and our pain ranged from mild inconvenience to some downright difficult times where we thought our lives were ruined and we thought we’d have to completely change them.

The vicissitudes of life are such that it’s likely we’ll be faced with emergencies, mini and moderate disasters and other trying times in the future.

However, TODAY, the risk of man-made hazards is greater than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime!

If you have any doubt about this, just open your eyes and look around. If you still think everything’s either just fine, or will work itself out as it always has, don’t bother reading any further.

On the other hand, if like so many millions of our fellow Americans you clearly see what’s happening “right here in River City”, right before eyes, and are not just alarmed but pessimistic that for the first time in many generations we won’t be able to give our children and grandchildren better lives than we had; if you sense the threats to our freedom, peace and prosperity are mounting as each day goes by; if you see our very civilization being systematically destroyed (“fundamentally transformed”) then friends, “Be Prepared” needs to become your slogan as well!

If you’ve spent any time thinking about Emergency Preparedness, however, you know how long the lists of considerations, questions and answers are.

There are literally thousands of resources available. I’ve spent countless hours researching the available literature, videos, websites to get answers. The array of products, services and printed/published information dedicated to “prepping” is vast. It’s available from government and commercial sources, some of it general, some of it very specific, some of it good, some of it bad, some of it useful and, in my opinion, some of it useless or even harmful.

The fundamental problem with most of these sources is that they don’t address the individual needs, preferences and budgets of families living in diverse locations, with different circumstances.

So concerned am I about the future of our country and the impact the Leftist juggernaut is having on the lives of my immediate and extended family, however, that I’ve solicited help in making sense of the matter. I have become a practitioner of the principles espoused by a new organization: Suburban Readiness Institute (SRI). One of their key tenets is secrecy – it stands to reason that the more people know about your preparedness, the less secure your family will be if things get bad. All communications and interaction with them have been and will remain discreet. Thus, I won’t be describing their means, methods, etc.

But I urge my readers to visit their website (https://suburbanreadiness.com) for a general overview of what they’re about.

And whether or not you engage with them or some other organization to assist you with your planning and preparation, I can’t overemphasize the importance, AT THIS PIVOTAL TIPPING POINT IN OUR COUNTRY’S HISTORY, of thinking seriously about and systematically, methodically, pragmatically and resolvedly preparing for what may lie ahead.

Once an emergency happens or is about to happen, with or without warning, the time for preparation is past.

9-11/911

There is so much to write about and comment on that I’m not sure where to begin. Rather than reflect back on that otherwise beautiful autumn day in 2001 as so many others are doing today (I was in midtown, Manhattan. My oldest son was at the Court House in Lower Manhattan. My wife was covered in ash and walked the length of Manhattan from her job in lower Manhattan. We all were unharmed but witnessed the horror first hand), I thought I’d reflect today on what I’ve come to call the “Daily Atrocities”. I thought I’d gather some thoughts of possible future outcomes from them. But first, let’s enumerate just some of the problems brought on or exacerbated by the Leftists in the current administration:

  • The “Fundamental Transformation” of America – the necrotic, cancerous, Obama theme on steroids;
  • Biden criminality, dementia, puppet, treasonous actions;
  • Pelosi criminality, dementia, megalomania, hypocrisy;
  • COVID: Lies, Distrust, Masks, Vax, Passports, Mandates, etc.;
  • Military & Alphabet Agencies (FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.): Wokeness, Disregard for primary missions
  • Police: Resignations, Defunding, Disrespect
  • Assault on the Second Amendment as well as other Rights
  • Schools – Indoctrination, Lincoln, 1619, CRT, LGBTQ propaganda
  • Sheep – Adult indoctrination of dumbed down, compliant or gullible population
  • Open Borders – unequal treatment of illegal aliens vs. US citizens, drive to change the demographic
  • Energy Independence to Dependence
  • SCOTUS/Judicial impotence/decriminalization of crime
  • Elections: HR1, etc. – drive by Democrats for permanent power
  • Abuse of Power/Treason/Totalitarianism/Tyranny – examples too numerous to list
  • Radical Environmentalism, Feminism – Mars vs. Venus getting very ugly
  • Leftist Racism – the Left are the true racists, not the Right
  • China/Russia/Iran/NORKO – hegemony – growing perception of U.S. weakness, increasing vulnerability
  • Anti-Semitism/Anti-Religion/Anti-America – Evil at every level
  • Corrupt Professional Politicians/Groupthink
  • Declining Work Ethic/Snowflakes
  • Government Dependency
  • Reckless Fiscal & Monetary Policies/INFLATION/ Tax and Spend $3.5 TRILLION bill
  • Protests/Riots/Lawlessness Spreading
  • Hollywood Brainwashing/ Leftist Production Values high and preying on a weak-minded population
  • Tech:Censorship/Privacy/Social Media/Addiction
  • Cyber threats, Grid Threats, Biological, nuclear
  • Corporate/Professional Sports submission, compliance with wokeness
  • Government unions – scourge that allows workers to negotiate with themselves for salaries and benefits
  • World Affairs – American Decline.

So, where’s all this going? Here are some possible scenarios/outcomes as I see them:

1.            Status quo. God forbid the Right is unable to marshal the will or resolve to lay nail strips in front of the Leftist agenda and we succumb to this fundamental transformation. If that happens, we the frogs sitting in water that is starting to boil are either going to die or jump out of the pot. Allowing this current leviathan of Leftist idiocy could very well result in the destruction of America, but if this keeps up, it could happen.

2.            The GOP gets a spine. We’re already starting to see some courageous Republicans throwing the bulls#$t flag and attempting to throw wrenches into the Democrat works. One possible scenario is the Red States are able to not just lay out the evidence of the 2020 election fraud, but PROVE it in court. I don’t hold out a lot of hope on this because the judiciary is so hopelessly corrupt and Left-infected that the Democrats will be able to draw out the process indefinitely. We can only hope that the PROOF (not just the evidence) is so unequivocal, so clear and so damning that a constitutional crisis at the SCOTUS level ensues forcing either a forced resignation of Biden’s entire administration, a re-election or NEW election occurs, or somehow Trump is instated as the true winner of 2020.

3.            2022. Or, the evidence of fraud in our elections is sufficiently exposed that election fraud is rooted out of the system and the Democrats are prevented from utilizing their fraudulent tactics to steal another election. In 2022 the GOP takes over the House and perhaps the Senate and drives a spike into the Democrat agenda. Of course, a LOT of damage can still be done before January 2023, but a combination of some GOP backbone to stall their onslaught plus a fair election in 2022 could turn the tide.

4.            Newsom Recall. I’m skeptical that the California governor will be taken down. The Dems will use every tool at their disposal to cheat to keep him in office and I’m not sure public opinion against Newsom will suffice to push him out. (Who know… I never would have thought Cuomo would get taken down in New York.) But if he does get booted and a Republican governor is elected, it’ll be a start. Now, if Diane Feinstein keels over shortly thereafter, Larry Elder or some other GOP governor will appoint a Republican Senator and the Senate control could revert back to the GOP even before 2022 and the Leftist tsunami could be halted that way.

5.            Secession. There’s a lot of talk about Red State Secession. It’s possible, but not likely, at least not in this generation. The complexity of extricating themselves from the Federal clutches is probably too great, but I’m in favor of the idea if by 2023 we’re unable to neutralize the Democrats’ power.

6.            Civil Disobedience/REAL Insurrection. There is also a lot of discussion about armed rebellion, perhaps even a revolt against the Federal Government. As crazy as that sounds, the anger and actions of so many traditionalist patriots is growing to the point where this is no longer out of the question. When and how such a rebellion/revolt would start is anybody’s guess, but if 50,000 armed citizens were to descend on Washington and demand the resignations of all the Leftists, that would most certainly ignite the tinder. Armed squads that take it upon themselves to assassinate Leftist leaders in guerilla fashion is also not out of the question. Scary, yes, but not out of the question. This too would light the tinder.

7.            Shadow Government. It’s clear that Trump’s team are still largely intact and are no doubt watching and waiting and biding their time. The “enemy” is clearly destroying itself from within so there is no reason to stand in their way. If, however, a revolution begins or there is sufficient popular/populist support for a removal of the current administration in one way or another, Trump could position himself as the legitimate President, set up a government in a Red State, and potentially challenge the status quo with a non-lethal rebellion.

8.            Biden Resignation or Invocation of the 25th. I think there’s a real chance that the Democrats will try to figure out a way to get rid of Biden. However, installing Harris as President, no matter how delightful the Leftist news headlines might be, could be even more problematic than leaving the puppet in place. Nancy is next in line, and if they figure out how to get rid of her as well, which I would think they would have to do (if Biden is thrown out, Pelosi has to be as well – she’s too much of a nut-job), Patrick Leahy as President Pro Tempore of the Senate is next in line, and he looks like a saint compared to the other wackos and could very well be accepted by the nation as President. It’s a complex, three-dimensional chess game, but not out of the realm of possibility.

9.            Military Takeover. I don’t have any inside information as to just how many officers have resigned from the military either on ideological grounds on vaccine mandate grounds, but there is NO DOUBT that there are a hell of a lot of Colonel-on-down as well as some of former and current general staff who are talking among themselves about who they can count on to join them if the Joint Chiefs and current command structure had to be removed. The number of military who are on the Right far outweigh those on the Left, and while a military coup is inconceivable in America, the Democrats are already governing as if we’re a banana republic so again, such a coup in not out of the question.

10.          Foreign Attack. Most likely our weakness will give Russia and China carte blanche to invade Ukraine and Taiwan, respectively. It has already allowed the Iranians to ramp up their nuclear program to the point where they can deploy dirty bombs just about anywhere in the world. The NORK’s are watching with glee and even Kim Jung Mentally Ill has lost weight and is preparing to set foot on the world stage. The panoply of jihadists are undefeatable in a classic sense…it’s a game of whack-a-mole with them and no conventional military force will prevail. And while we may not like it, the only way, in my opinion, we’re going to be able to secure our nation is to place troops in strategic locations around the globe, harden our infrastructure, and restore our rightful place as the world’s sole, benevolent but self-interested superpower. If we are attacked, which is unlikely because our adversaries know that will galvanize us as a nation and then don’t want to awaken a sleeping or wounded tiger, we will coalesce and mount a counterattack that truly could bring on Armageddon. Biden and his puppet masters have destabilized the world and the threats to peace are greater now than they have ever been.

11.          Another 9-11. I often say, “The further away we get from 9-11, the closer we get to the next one.” I’m writing this on the eve of the twentieth anniversary of the horrendous event. Since that time our enemies have learned the lessons of what is called Fourth Generational Warfare. Without going into what that is in great detail, suffice it say that 4GW is a fight of small, agile and maniacal guerilla “cells” against a superpower like ours. It took only a couple dozen terrorists and about $500,000 to pull off 9-11. A successful cyber attack or even a conventional small-arms attack on our electrical grid could push America into the Stone Age in short order. Given our wokeness/weakness, this is not out of the question either, and the effects could be more permanent than what 9-11 did to us.

Pretty gloomy stuff, I know, but this is where we are today. If your head is in the sand, please get it out. Start to prepare for what could happen out there and hope and pray that we’re able to ride out this storm. Remember, once it happens, whatever “it” is, it will be too late to prepare.

May God bless us and may God bless America. It’s no longer morning Maya Angelou, it’s twilight heading into night.

Joe Biden Is Wrong On Everything

The following letter was sent by one of our readers in Pennsylvania to his senator and representative in Congress and is reprinted with permission. It reflects the anger of so many of us and is spot on!

Dear Senator Casey and Representative Houlihan:

What a disaster! Joe Biden continues to be wrong on everything, just like he’s been for 50 years!

He campaigned as a moderate but has ruled as an ultra-liberal. He claimed to be bi-partisan, but has governed by partisan executive order.

He’s wrong on the border and Pennsylvanians are paying for his incompetence with increased crime, depressed wages for legal residents and citizens, increasingly crowded medical care facilities, destruction of our sovereignty.

He is wrong on the Palestinians; they are Iranian backed terrorists and to support them is to support the world’s most prolific sponsor of terror.

He’s wrong on Iran, and he will be responsible when they get a nuclear weapon which doesn’t necessarily mean a nuclear warhead tipped intercontinental ballistic missile! How about a dirty bomb set off at Independence Hall?

He’s wrong on unions- just like the New York Times Op-Ed page being dismissed as passe, so are unions. There is now a government agency for everything they fought for. And they are more corrupt than the government. Either eliminate unions or get rid of all the government agencies doing the unions’ work. This goes particularly for government employee unions. What could be more corrupt than unions bargaining with themselves – that’s what public sector unions do by definition!

He’s wrong on the economy! We don’t need any more stimulus. We haven’t even spent what has been approved, and more money will just further stoke inflation. Unless you’re blind, just look at the price signs on gas stations and the cost of a half gallon of milk! I remember paying 12% for a mortgage – when the Fed runs out of options, we’ll be paying that and more for money!

He’s wrong on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Russia can have pipelines to our allies increasing their influence if not outright making Europe further beholden to them, but we can’t have the Keystone XL pipeline?

He’s wrong on fracking. So much for helping Pennsylvanians.

He’s wrong on electric vehicles, just like Obama was wrong on solar. Funny, he was always “Amtrak Joe” until he wanted to curry favor with the auto unions, now he’s a car guy??? What a hypocrite!

When are you going to stand up for the people you represent and who PAY YOUR SALARIES? You do not work for Pelosi or Schumer! You work for us! Now represent us, not your corrupt, power-hungry left-wing cabal in Washington!

With contempt (yes…contempt),

Bob

Tell Me Again Why You’re a Democrat?

I’m sick of listening to Leftists lazily and endlessly repeat the phrases, labels and talking points they heard on the morning main street media news. I have neighbors around me who say truly stupid things like (and I’m paraphrasing closely from an actual, recent conversation) “I don’t subscribe to all the racism charges leveled at Dr. Seuss, but there are a couple of books that could be considered racist.” Yeah, right. “If I Ran the Zoo” is racist? Not then, not now…it’s absolutely ridiculous!

I get very angry when confronted by Leftist imbeciles denigrating all the things I value and hold dear and in the heat of the moment, it takes all my energy to keep from lashing out. Besides, with all the adrenalin coursing through me during one of these exchanges my usual glibness fails me. So I remain silent or neutral because I actually CARE about what I say. Afterwards, I often think of things I wished I had said.

Instead of having a ready supply of pejoratives to hurl at these cancer-carrying fools, I’ve come up with a number of questions that are only a little less confrontational. (Maxine Waters, I’m just following your admonition!) To wit:

  • Why would you want to be a member of the REAL racist party? It’s not the Republicans who practiced slavery in the South, enacted the Jim Crow laws, promoted eugenics, segregation and formed the Ku Klux Klan of which their leader Robert Byrd was most recently a member. It wasn’t Republicans in California who expanded mass incarcerations, which predominantly affected blacks, it was none other than Kamala Harris. On the other hand, it was the Republicans who freed the slaves, who supported the 1964 Civil Rights Act in greater proportions than the Democrats under the four years of the Trump administration, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians…all were lifted economically. Why would you want to be associated with and celebrate as your leaders race baiters like Maxine Waters, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, Ilahn Omar, etc.?
  • Why would you want to support leaders who don’t care about YOU or minorities or anyone or anything else but POWER. This is plainly exhibited in their push on HR1 which would be defacto the ultimate vote-stealing initiative. More importantly, HR1 is the epitome of racism – it plainly exposes the attitude of Democrats that poor people and minorities are too stupid or incompetent to get id’s when id’s are required to do just about anything today? Read the Bill!
  • Why would you want to be a member of a political party that can’t tell the difference between boys and girls, men and women? Who want to redefine human nature because they think it will benefit them politically? Why would you support people who are in favor of sex change operations for children and who want you to introduce yourself and ridiculously add “and my pronouns are…”?
  • Why would you want to be a Democrat when the Democrats preach “progressivism” but behave in virtually every way like true totalitarian fascists, doing everything and anything: cheating, stealing, lying, deceiving, bullying, cancelling, ignoring any truth or reality that contradicts their agenda, who think we must wear masks that REAL science shows are ineffective, not get together in churches and on July 4th with our families while you go into the grocery store or COSTCO all the time? Who want to confiscate not just your earnings but your wealth as well in order to doll it out to people whose political support and votes they believe they can curry?
  • Why do you insist on listening to, believing and parroting “narratives” crafted from focus groups and lazily repeated over and over as talking points by an admittedly dishonest Leftist media looking only for viewership and ad dollars while avoiding and suppressing the truth? Example? The Russian Collusion nonsense. The bases for both the first AND second impeachment efforts. The narrative that we should take two weeks to “bend the curve”. Most recently the editing out by NBC of the fact that the 16 year old girl in Ohio was about to stab another girl and repeatedly ignored the police officer who demanded she stop. Oh, and edited the 911 tape to remove the part where the caller screams the girl “is trying to stab us!”
  • Why would you want to support a Party that stupidly promotes defunding, “re-imagining” or eliminating the Police? Can you think of a more idiotic position to take? Yet, that’s what the Democrats are pushing.
  • Why would you want to be a member of a Party that wants no national borders so anyone at any time can just waltz across and receive tax supported handouts?
  • Why would you want to support Democrat sponsored environmental programs and legislation that won’t do a damn thing for “saving the planet” but will line the pockets of Green people and Green businesses but all the while allow the biggest polluters on the planet, the Chinese, to continue to pollute at will and impose draconian restrictions on America while turning a blind eye to those on, say, Europe. Oh, and who forget 6th grade science class where we learned that CO2 is not a pollutant but what plants use in photosynthesis to live and grow, and RENEW the breathable air on the planet! Do you really fall for the tripe that “CARBON is evil?” Guess what, carbon is what we’re made of!
  • Or maybe you subscribe to the “Can’t We All Get Along” utopian fantasy where everyone is granted a basic income, which of course is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth from the productive to the unproductive. Or where all nations are dissolved into a New World Order under a Great Reset ruled by a bunch of elitist, holier-than-though, self-proclaimed and condescending experts who will tell you, as they did in the European Parliament, what society as a whole can and can’t do. Some examples:
  • Limitation on balloon usage. According to EU rules from 1988 children under the age of 8 can not use latex balloons without a supervising parent. And text on the latex balloons must have such a warning on them.
  • Whistle blowers, that scroll out into a long colored paper tongue when sounded have now been classified as unsafe for all children under 14.
  • Eurocrats ban small fruit.  “The diameter of the fruit is a way of measuring its maturity/development. Fruit grown organically or conventionally have to reach a certain degree of maturity in order to have a reasonable chance of satisfying the consumer.” – who is the EU to tell Europeans what satisfies them? Is it any wonder the relatively sane Brits said enough and seceded from the EU?

It’s this same kind of stupidity and tyranny that permeates every piece of Democrat legislation.

  • Why would you want to vote for an administration that will relax the sanctions on the world’s greatest sponsor of terrorism, Iran, and allow them to with impunity move forward rapidly on their nuclear weapons program?
  • Why is it that you Democrats squeal that no one should have guns, when you know damn well that when seconds matter, the police are only minutes away. Or that if all the 400 million plus guns in the U.S. were eliminated on Monday, there would be hundreds, perhaps thousands of guns circulating by Friday, and they’d be in the hands of criminals who, knowing you are unarmed and only defended by social workers (.sic), wouldn’t think twice of breaking and entering your home, place of work, or place of worship to rob or hurt you?
  • And why would you vote for and want a sadly demented, corrupt man who never had a real job in his life, who is nothing but a marionette whose strings are being manipulated by imbeciles and woke, lying, anti-american idiots like AOC, and professional political megalomaniacs like Pelosi and Schumer, and the worst kind of behind the scenes operatives like Susan Rice and now Obama, to be the President of the greatest nation the world has ever known?

Shall I continue? I could go all day pointing out the stupidity of what the Biden and Leftist Cabal are trying to do to “fundamentally transform” America. Into what? Into a sniveling bunch of recycled, quiche eating, limp-wristed, merlot drinking 60’s hippies staring at their iPhones while sitting around a campfire with terrorists trying to strike up a rendition of Kumbaya?

  • Or maybe you’ve been brainwashed to believe that we ARE a nation of racists, of colonialists, of exploiters of the earth, of knuckle-draggers bent on killing off minorities and gentle people?

All politics is abhorrent to me, and both the Left AND the Right say and do despicable things, but the vast preponderance, I repeat, the VAST preponderance of shenanigans, deception, falsehoods, hypocrisy, rules-for-thee-but-not-me attitudes, power-addiction, anti everything that made this nation great behavior and rhetoric is exhibited by Democrats. It’s not even close.

I’m very sorry for you. You have to be either asleep, willfully ignorant, too adolescent and subject to peer pressure and emotional blackmail, too dependent on their handouts, too brainwashed, or just plain stupid, to be a Democrat.

So tell me again why you are?
