Operation Overlord, i.e. the invasion of Normandy which actually began the night before on June 5th (or arguably, even before then) was akin to Gettysburg in that it marked the high water mark of the German hegemonic leviathan. Having walked the beaches and cobblestone streets of Normandy, peered over the cliff at Pointe du Hoe (aka Pointe du Hoc as it’s commonly known) navigated among steel obstacles on the beaches, and back in the 60’s spoken with numerous French resistance fighters who were there, I have a special place in my heart for the extraordinary event this was. If for some reason you have NOT seen it (Saving Private Ryan gives only part of the story) I strongly recommend the movie, now available colorized, called The Longest Day. It is based on the book by Cornelius Ryan which is one of if not the best account of what took place before during and just after the invasion. If you REALLY want to get into the details, I can also recommend the masterpiece, “Bodyguard of Lies” by Anthony Cave Brown, a 900+ page (but totally readable) story about the clandestine war of deceptions that hid the secrets of the invasion from the Wermacht and resulted in the Allied victory. In either case, June 6th is a day worth remembering just as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, etc.

Scanning the headlines this morning I continue to be sickened by the politicization of EVERYTHING! Biden’s idiotic, hypocritical, sniveling and prevaricative diatribe about gun control is just one example of the bile producing nonsense that passes for news. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. The facts be damned that in places where gun laws are the most strict, the most gun crime occurs. And the shrill, whining notion that guns are only for hunting is more drivel. No, the 2nd Amendment is there to prevent TYRANNY, exactly the demonic principle the Democrats are so desperately trying to foist on the American people! They are for Self-Defense and the protection of others when assaults occur. And they are occuring with increasing frequency. Armed guards with controlled access at schools (JUST LIKE AT GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS!!!!) is what’s needed. Metal detectors may also be needed, and systems that will remotely lock doors. Eternal vigilance is necessary, not “gun free zones” which are invitations!

Just ran into a friend at WalMart and told him about my trip to DC last weekend; how from the Washington Monument to the Capitol it looked as if they were prepared for the Russian Army to invade and how to the west at the WW2 and Vietnam Memorials it was an extraordinary gathering of patriots paying respects to the fallen, reminiscing, etc. The friend, a self-professed RINO, suggested something to the effect, “Well, you never know what intelligence law enforcement is getting,” essentially, trying to justify the extreme security. When I pointed out that it was if they were wishing an insurrection of patriots to occur, my friend just shook his head and bit his tongue. What is so shocking about this encounter is that highly educated people still believe the nonsense they’re hearing on the news: that January 6th was an insurrection, that patriots are all racist pigs, that the present mess our country is in is not Biden’s fault. Sigh…

The PLATINUM Jubilee

Watching the coverage this morning I am reminded that the pageantry of the Royal Jubilee encompasses all the tradition, class, honor, duty, and other noble features that we so sorely lack today. The language used by the commentators, the precision exhibited by the military, the music, the organization, the sheer complexity of the whole affair speak to the majesty and glory of TRADITION. The reason why I refer most often to the RIGHT as Traditionalists is that tradition transcends politics. One can be economically conservative, socially liberal, or something else but the VALUES and practices of Tradition cover all people in all ages of time. They are founded on the principles of Good and Evil, of Equal Opportunity vs. Equal Outcome, of Merit vs. Indolence, of Work vs. Welfare. And how, you might ask, can that apply to a privileged, entitled royal family? It applies because in all ages of time, there are those who are called to set an example, to exhibit the principles, to set the standard and remind ALL of what is right and wrong, good and evil, proper and improper.

Having worked with some great agents in the past I’m sickened by what I’m hearing about the politicization/weaponization of its power. I can only hope that the wokeness is a product of its leftist political management/leadership and not that of its rank and file. But the fish stinks from the head and eventually the rot filters down to the tail. Yet another institution that will have to be cleaned out once traditionalists take back leadership is this country!

Memorial Day Weekend in DC

Spent the weekend in DC. We have a beautiful capital marred by two things: homeless tent cities in many public parks and police presence as if we were about to be invaded by the Russian army. All federal buildings were surrounded, fences up, streets lined with snowplows (.sic) as if anticipating riots. What was REALLY happening was thousands of patriots paying their respects down the Mall at the WW2 and VN memorials. It was PEACEFUL, dignified, uplifting and GOOD people bumped fists, hugged, talked solemnly, shared memories, prayed. No doubt the MSM panted that the gathering was an “insurrection”. May God bless the souls of the fallen and their families.

“DO YOU NEED 100 ROUNDS?”

We all recall Biden screaming at the Detroit auto worker in 2020, “Do you need 100 rounds?” The answer is: “YES, especially if the guy shooting at me has 300 rounds!” Not only is Biden uneducated with respect to firearms, he’s belligerently and confrontationally stupid on the subject. He wouldn’t know the difference between a 9MM, .308, 5.56 weapon in ANY shape or form much less between a semi and an automatic, a consumer firearm and a real assault weapon! The Left’s despicable politicization and lying on virtually EVERY subject is disgusting, immoral and destructive. We simply MUST vote these idiots out in the coming elections.

Does Wealth + Power = Smart/Good?

It is axiomatic that people who make and/or have a lot of money/wealth or power believe they are smarter and superior to those who struggle “beneath” them. The rules don’t apply to them, their demagoguery doesn’t impact them, they compete on the basis of their wealth/power rank and how “philanthropic” they can be while paring their fingernails and pontificating on how they will save the world. Give me the ragtag woman who approached the altar with a couple of pennies to place in the offering plate any day over these self-absorbed hypocrites! I’d much rather associate with the poor kid who followed orders and charged the pillbox than the guy who invented the pet rock, hula hoop or today’s equivalent…an APP!

On the Sussman Acquittal

Expected or not, is there any doubt that the Left have taken over our institutions, including the judicial system? I guess pictures (i.e. emails) of perps holding smoking guns standing over corpses and eye-witness testimonies don’t seem to have the same weight these days as they used to. As I noted previously, we can only hope Durham knows what he’s doing and doesn’t quit. No question the trial was revealing in other ways…perhaps the positive result will be a greater recognition that the leftist cancer must be eradicated from every corner of our society.
